Excali-pole Quests[]

Below is a list of the quests available for the Excali-pole. Before starting on these quests, it is advised to have learned the skill of The Art of Night Fishing and Timing.

Also, if you have not started fishing in Icelantica yet, it is suggested you only complete the first two quests and hold off on the remainder until after you've done so. If you cast less than 30 times per day, any quest above the second could take a month or longer to complete.

Peasants Pie[]

Quest13

(Difficulty: 1/10)
Perfectly baked pie filled with hardy Waterport fish.
Pole Req: Level 10 Excali-pole
Unlocks: Double Reel
Quest specific tips: Start in Fishertonville using Loaf Chum until you catch all the Loafy Fish. The Hate can be caught with attractants; ( Vials of Bile), so use them! Since attracting these fish is almost a certainty with the attractants, you should use your best attraction rate chum to make sure you catch it: RLC or Fish Guts Chum/Cayenne Chum. If you don't have any attractants, remember the Hate prefers Steak Chum. NB: It is hard to catch a Hate Fish without the attractant - it may be worth it not to start this quest unless you have enough Vials of Bile, or the means to exchange for them. Using attractants this quest should take less than 100 casts.

On October 14th several new fish were added and the quests updated. This quest formerly required 7 Fiesta Fish but now requires 7 Coconut Fish. At this time there is no attractant for the Coconut. As this fish is fairly prolific you should have no trouble catching the required number.

If you have unlocked Blue Crescent, you can fish there for Hates with Steak as they are far more common there ("Endangered" vs "Near Extinction" in Waterport and Fishertonville). You will experience a fair number of whiffs due to the number of fishes that you can't catch with the Excali-pole, and your pole may break from time to time, but it is a viable option for those unable or unwilling to spend resources on the quest.
Catch Req's: 9 Loafy Fish, 7 Coconut Fish, 4 Hate Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

Witches Brew[]

Quest14

(Difficulty: 4/10)
Simmering concoction of juicy fish ingredients. Recommended for large parties.
Pole Req: Level 30 Excali-pole
Unlocks: Medieval Chain
Quest specific tips: Start with Fish Guts Chum in Fishertonville. During your casts to get all the Bay Fish, you should catch all the Hippies and Witches as well, and maybe one or two Hate Fish. If you don't catch all Witches, keep casting with Fish Guts, or RLC which is slightly better. Hippies can be caught with attractants (Munchies), if for any reason you did not catch them all yet. The remaining fish is the Hate Fish, which is easiest using the Vial of Bile as well, together with RLC or Fish Guts/Cayenne. If you don't have any Hate attractants, this quest will be a lot harder. This quest can take 200-300 casts.

On October 14th new fish were added to Fishertonville and this quest updated to include the Bay Fish. The previous requirement was 8 Emo Fish.

Alternatively, if you have unlocked Blue Crescent, you can fish there for Hates in the same way as described for the previous quest.
Catch Req's: 10 Hate Fish, 9 Hippie Fish, 8 Bay Fish , 6 Witch Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

Kings Casserole[]

Quest15

(Difficulty: 8/10)
A royalty-pleasing seafood casserole baked in the king's crown.
Pole Req: Level 50 Excali-pole
Unlocks: Spear Launcher
Quest specific tips: Note: It may be beneficial to not have your Excali-pole augmented before starting this quest - augmenting your pole adds new fish, which, some believe, slightly reduces the odds of catching the fish in this quest. However, also note that you can only start the next quest when your pole is at level 70/70, so you may want to start augmenting the pole midway through the quest.

On October 14th new fish were added to Fishertonville and this quest updated to include the Squire Fish. Thus all fish in the quest may be caught in Fishertonville. Travel to Fishertonville and use RLC or Fish Guts Chum/Cayenne Chum to catch the Witch and Viking Fish. RLC will work best, since the additional bonus to top 4 fish. The Viking fish is rare, and may well be the quest "bottleneck" fish in this quest. The Squire Fish is listed as "Extremely Rare" and may also be difficult to complete. Finish this quest the same way as quests 1 and 2, using the Vial of Bile. This quest should take 600+ casts.

Alternatively, if you have unlocked Blue Crescent, you can fish there for Hates in the same way as described for the previous quest.
Catch Req's: 14 Hate Fish, 12 Witch Fish, 8 Squire Fish, 6 Viking Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

Royal Soufflé[]

Quest16

(Difficulty: 10/10)
Impress the royal highness with this fluffy chocolate soufflé.
Pole Req: Level 70 Excali-pole
Rewards: 2 Liquid Gold
Quest specific tips: This quest is very hard, and not recommended unless you don't mind using a lot of RLC or spend a lot of casts. The Merlin Fish will take a long time to finish, since they are a "Near Extinction" fish, and it prefers RLC. Thus, the quest will revolve around fishing in Fishertonville and using RLC or your best chum, until everything is caught. This quest may take 2000+ casts, if not using RLC.
Catch Req's: 22 Ironess Fish, 18 Prince Fish, 11 Merlin Fish, 1 Arthurian Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

This quest is VERY hard, and not recommended for the faint of heart.
